Welcome to our Home Learning page - below, you will find links to suitable work for your child. These activities have been designed by the teachers and we have been mindful of what has been learnt in school.
This letter explains the home learning plans in more detail: Home Learning update
We do not expect you to all become teachers, but we do want to provide you with activities that you and your child will enjoy and benefit from. Please remember, do what you can, when you can and in a way that suits you best. We will remember how we felt in years to come, not necessarily how many pages of work we did whilst being asked to stay at home.
There is a wealth of websites who can offer some online learning...some are listed here for you to download.
Can we also suggest that children continue to read and re-read books, they could retell a story and then try to change the characters or setting (we call this the innovate stage at school). The children love drawing story maps - ask them to draw one for Little Red Riding hood and then retell it to you - or the dog!
You could practise number bonds to 10, 20 or 100. You could use cars or ponies figures to count them and write down a number sentence or sum (2+8=10).
Practise counting in 2s, 5s or 10s whilst walking up the stairs or around the house.
Count the yellow things in a room. Are there more blue things? ETC.
Look back through your child's spellings and use some of them to write a sentence. They can do this aloud or in written form.
Facetime/Whatsappcall/FBcall a friend and show them everything you've been up to!

Letters and Sounds - We use Letters and Sounds to teach phonics so you can use the Year group specific sessions to continue with their learning.
E-Safety is an important part of keeping children safe at FCIA. Any E-Safety incidents are recorded and managed in accordance with our E-safety Policy. E-Safety is taught as a unit of our Computing curriculum and E-safety rules are referred to regularly.
We use SMARTIE the Penguin to help remind the children how to stay safe. You can find more information here and refresh the children's mind, too.
We can only be successful in keeping children safe online if we work with parents to ensure the E-Safety message is consistent. It is important that parents speak to their children about how they can keep safe and behave appropriately online.
